Late last week I did a post about some of the things I think Microsoft needs to do to get back into the Smartphone arena. With their announcement of Windows Phone 7 today at the Mobile World Congress, Microsoft has confirmed that I’m a visionary genius. While there are a lot of unanswered questions about the new software, two of my requests were granted (at least it looks that way):
- XBox Live integration.
- Zune Music Pass integration.
This second one I’m making a small leap on because I haven’t been able to explicitly find that anywhere. However, since this device basically looks like a Zune interface and they say it will act like a Zune, I’m going to guess that’s the case.
Now if they would just add simple Media Center syncing and a Windows Phone directory to my PC and the cloud…Well, let’s just be content for the moment being with 2/5 of my requests being granted.
Stay tuned, when I get a little more time and a little more information is released, I’ll put together a little post about the new software out of Redmond. So far it looks interesting…
