General Questions

Integrity and Trust Questions

  1. Can I trust you?

    Yes. We operate as a legitimate business in the state of Washington. We have a business license (click here and search for Jet City Devices, LLC), an accountant, a lawyer, we pay plenty of taxes. In other words we are a legitimate and legal business.

  2. Do you have a list of past customers?

    It is our policy to not provide the names of any of our customers without their consent. However, we do keep a forum for any of our past customers to leave feedback. We do not do any editing of the responses left by customers unless it's for inappropriate language or links. Good or bad, we leave it all up there for the world to see.

  3. Is there a way to talk to you directly?

  1. How do I pay you?

    We accept all major credit cards directly on our website (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express). We also have an option for you to pay using Paypal. When choosing this option you will be redirected to Paypal's website where you can either pay using your Paypal account or pay using a credit card on their site.

Warranty Questions

  1. Do you offer a warranty?

    With the exception of the T-Mobile Dash 3G LCD only, we guarantee that all of our repairs and accessories are free from manufacturing defects for 90 days after the sale. Should you have any problems within that time, we will gladly replace any defective parts completely free of charge. (This does warranty does not include physical damage such as being dropped or water damage.)

    Regarding the Dash 3G, we still offer a 90 day warranty on our mail-in or in-person repair service. We just do not warranty the sale of the LCD screen for the do-it-yourself repair.

  2. How do you issue a refund?

    To be issued a refund on any product that has been shipped out, you must send us back the product. Once we receive the product back, we log into our credit card processing site (or Paypal) and issue your account the refund.

Repair Details

  1. Can you really fix my phone?

    It's hard to say for an absolute fact that we can fix your phone. The phones we receive are usually broken because they have been dropped, gotten wet, or experienced some other form of trauma.

    However, we have an extremely high success rate if the problem with your phone is as described on the repair details for your phone. If you're concerned, give us a call, (800) 272-0897, and we can diagnose your problem over the phone.

  2. How long does it take?
  3. Will I lose my phone's data?

    Probably not. The vast majority of our repairs in no way effect the memory of the phone. If a repair will result in a loss of memory, we will say so directly on the repair page.

    All screen, mechanical, keyboard, and USB port repairs will in no way effect the memory of your phone.

  4. Will the repair void my warranty?

    Yes. The manufacturer's warranty is voided by our repair. If your phone is under warranty and the manufacturer will repair or replace your phone, that is the best option. However, in many cases the manufacturer won't repair your phone for you. In this case, we are one of the most affordable and reliable options for getting your phone working again.

  5. What happens if you can't fix my phone?

    If your phone cannot be repaired, we will ship it back to you in the same condition we received it and refund your payment back to you (minus return shipping charges).

Payment Questions

  1. Do I pay before or after the repair?

    You must pay for your repair before we will fix the phone.

  2. Who pays for shipping?

    You are responsible for paying for the cost of shipping your phone to us. We then charge a flat fee for the return shipping of your phone as well as any accessories you may have purchased. Only one shipping and handling fee is charged per order.

  1. How much is return shipping?

    We offer two different options for return shipping of a repaired phone:

    • USPS Priority Mail, $6.95, 2-3 Days
    • USPS Express Mail, $19.95, Next Day
  2. How should I ship my phone?

    You can ship your phone using whatever carrier you prefer. If you don't do a lot of shipping, we highly recommend the US Post Office's Priority Mail. It's quick (usually just 2 days), reliable, and inexpensive.

    If you must have the fastest possible shipping, we recommend the US Post Office's Express Mail. It goes overnight to most places in the US for under $17. However, feel free to use FedEx, UPS, DHL or anyone else you want to send us your phone.

  3. How should I package my phone?

    If you regularly ship out products, feel free to use your standard packaging methods. However, if you're new to shipping, I suggest the following: Go to the Post Office, buy a bubble wrap lined envelope, wrap your phone in a little additional bubble wrap (or newspaper), put it in the envelope, and mail it out.

  4. How will you know the phone is mine when you receive it?

    When you pay for the phone repair online (using either a credit card or Paypal), your name, address, and purchased repair are all logged into our system. This means as long as your name is clearly marked with the phone, we will know what repair you have purchased and where to send the phone back to when we're finished.

    To be extra safe, you are also welcome to either include the email receipt we send you or simply write your name legibly on a piece of paper and include that with your phone.

  5. Where do I send the phone to?

    All of our mail-in repairs are performed out of our Chicago office. You can send your phone to the following address:

Accessory Specific Questions

  1. How long before I'll have my order?

    We try very hard to keep all a full stock of all the accessories we offer in our warehouse. This means in almost all cases your order ships out within 24 hours. That means the total time until your phone arrives will depend on the shipping method you choose. Use the following chart to determine your shipping time:

    • USPS First Class Mail, $1.95, 3-7 Days
    • USPS Priority Mail, $6.95, 2-3 Days
    • USPS Express Mail, $19.95, Next Day
  2. How much is shipping if I order multiple products?

    We only charge the above listed shipping charges once per order. So if you order one product or ten, the cost will be $1.95 for First Class Mail, $6.95 for Priority Mail, or $19.95 for Express Mail.
